‘Some cricketers who were congratulating Shehbaz Sharif’: Shaan Shahid takes a dig at Shahid Afridi
Actor Shaan Shahid, who is also a big supporter of ousted Prime Minister Imran Khan, has taken a dig at former captain Shahid Khan Afridi.
In a tweet, Shaan Shahid wrote, “Some cricketers were congratulating Shehbaz Sharif but now they are so silent you can hear them weep.”

His remarks were directed towards Shahid Khan Afridi, who had congratulated PM Shehbaz Sharif for becoming the 23rd prime minister of the country.

He was severely criticised on social media by supporters of Imran Khan. Later, the former all-rounder had also issued a video statement following the online bashing.
He had stated that he was well aware of the response he will be getting for felicitating PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif on becoming the country’s prime minister.
“I have always seen Imran Khan as a leader but I reserve the right to disagree with his policies or ideology,” Afridi had said.
