Just as all the prominent figures across the world, Bollywood celebrities are also coming forward to help the less privileged people.

Celebrities such as Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and others have donated a huge sum of money to the government and common people. Now, another Bollywood star, Sonu Sood, has also come forward to help those who have been worst-hit by the COVID-19 crisis.

As per the details, the Bollywood star has decided to provide free meals to 25,000 Muslim migrants living in Bhiwandi during the holy month of Ramadan.

“Someone reached out to Sonu explaining the plight of these migrant workers who hail from states like Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal and are currently stuck in Bhiwadi. He’s set up a few kitchens in the suburb to make and deliver meals to those keeping roza,” a source told an Indian media outlet.

Talking about his initiative, Sonu Sood said that he has assured these migrant workers that their requirements during the holy month will be fulfilled.

“In these difficult times, it is important for each one of us to stand up for the other. Through this initiative, we will provide special meal kits so they don’t stay hungry after fasting all day.”

According to the Indian publication, the Simmba star is currently feeding 45000 people in Mumbai. Looking at the troubles faced by the underprivileged citizens, he has decided to expand his free meals initiative to up to 1.5 lakh people.

Before this, he had provided his Juhu hotel to accommodate doctors, nurses and paramedical staff.
