Stipend announced for Baloch students studying in Punjab after CM Buzdar’s intervenes
The Punjab government announced to pay the expenses of 142 Baloch undergraduate studying at the Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan till 2023.
After the intervention of the Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, Balochistan and Punjab governments have agreed to mutually endure the educational expenditures of Baloch students that are studying in different educational institutes in Punjab.
The Balochistan government announced a Rs 20 million grant to assist students pursuing education in Punjab. Following that, the Punjab government announced to pay the expenses of 142 Baloch undergraduate studying at the Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan till 2023.
Usman Buzdar took a personal interest in the matter related to the Balochistan students as he intends to resolve their financial problems that might hinder access to quality education. He has advised the provincial additional chief secretary higher education to solve Balochistan students’ concerns at the earliest possible time.
The additional chief secretary communicated the Balochistan government, which permitted a Rs. 2 million grant to benefit the undergraduate Baloch students in Punjab.
The provided funds would be spent on the educational costs of the Baloch students in the upcoming academic year. CM Buzdar further stated that Baloch students currently studying in Punjab were close to his heart. He maintained that these students’ concerns are a priority of the government who intends to ensure their convenience.
