According to social media rumours, the Education Department is considering to announce vacations earlier than the proposed date.
Earlier, the Punjab School Education Department announced summer vacations from May 31st. All the educational institutions across the province will remain closed from June 1 till July 31.
Due to the extreme heat across the country, it was reported that the Punjab School Education Department is considering early summer vacations in the province. The department said that there is no truth in these rumours.
“There is no truth in the news regarding earlier summer vacations than May 31,” said the school education department.
Proposal regarding the summer vacations will be sent to the schools education secretary next week. All the schools will remain closed for a maximum of two month. The new academic year in schools will begin on August 1.
