After Sushant Singh Rajput, his ‘Kai Po Che’ co-star also commits suicide

The Kai Po Chi star was last seen in the popular web series "Hostages," which was released earlier this year.

Asif Basra, an Indian Film Actor, committed suicide at a private guesthouse in Himachal Pradesh, India. He was 53.

The SP Dharamshala, Vimukt Ranjan, told a source, “Basra committed suicide yesterday morning. The body has been transferred to the hospital for post-mortem. No suicide note was found near the body.”

Asif Basra starred in films like Kai Po Chi, Jab We Met, Black Friday, Ek Villain, Parzania, Outsourced, Hichki, Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, Krrish 3, and Kaalakaandi.

The Kai Po Chi star was last seen in the popular web series “Hostages,” which was released earlier this year.

Many Indian celebrities took to Twitter to mourn the demise of the late actor.

A Famous Bollywood Actor, Manoj Bajpayee, tweeted, “What? This is too shocking. Shot with him just before Lockdown! Oh, My God.”

Indian Actress, Maanvi Gagroo, posted on Twitter, “This is terrible news. RIP Asif. Thank you for all your encouraging words every time we met.”

The Indian Film Director, Hansal Mehta, took to Twitter and wrote, “Asif Basra, this cannot be true. It is sad news.”

Comedian, Kiku Sharda, said via Twitter, “This is shocking. I was very fond of Basra, the little work we did together, I completely adored him. Sad. RIP brother Asif.”
