The suspected killers of a 13-year-old child had reportedly befriended him through an online game, PUBG.

The Lahore DIG Investigations, Shariq Jamal, disclosed this during a press conference at his office.

The DIG said that police had arrested three suspects, Atta Ullah, Mussawar Iqbal, and Muhammad Naveed, in the case. The investigation further revealed that they had befriended the victim, a resident of Raiwind, during an online interaction.

Jamal added the suspects had developed a grudge against the boy for avoiding meeting them. They plotted against the victim to teach him a lesson.

The defendants abducted the boy and took him to Nankana Sahib, where they sexually assaulted and killed him.
