Target Killer Who Murdered Hazara Men Killed In An Operation – DIG Claims

The Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) have claimed to kill whom they believe is a ‘hardcore target killer’ responsible for Hazara target killing in Quetta. As per claims, the main mastermind behind the sectarian killing and unrest in the region was targeted in an operation by security forces in Mastung. The claim was made by Quetta DIG Abdul Razzaq Cheema along with Commander Ghazaband Scouts Brigadier Tasawur Sattar in a joint press conference.

Revealing the details of the operation, DIG said:
‘’Police and LEAs conducted a search operation in Splinji and Kabu areas of Mastung on April 28. Terrorists hiding in their camps opened fire on security forces using sophisticated weapons. Upon retaliation, a hard-core terrorist Maqsood Ahmed, hailing from Manghopir area of Karachi, was killed while a Frontier Corps soldier sustained injuries in the operation.”

DIG also showed a picture of the terrorist in the conference. He said that the terrorists were gaining a foothold in the area that by activating their training camps there. But by timely action, security forces were able to sabotage their plans. He added that heavy amount of ammunition and cache has also been captured by the forces.

Speaking on the security situation and target killing incidents that have sparked protests across the country, DIG said that LEA’s are doing that it takes to control the condition. DI Cheema said that 200 security personals trained by Pakistan Army have been deployed in the area to beef up the security situation.

“We have requested the business community many times to install CCTV cameras on their business spots to help forces arrest terrorists targeting citizens,” the DIG added. He said that the security forces are carrying out operations and are giving immense sacrifices for it.
