Temperature in Sindh rises to record-breaking degree
The heatwave in Sindh has started with a temperature of 40 degrees Celsius. The temperature was recorded in Mithi (Tharparkar) recently.
As per details, this was the highest temperature that has been recorded in the region in February since 80 years.
The area is also expected to break similar records in the coming days. According to Chief Meterologist Sardar Sarfaraz, the temperature will rise in Tharkparkar, Umarkot, Thatta, Badin and Mirpur Khas districts of the province. Moreover, over the next several days, it is forecasted that Sindh’s temperature would reach between 36 and 38 degrees Celsius.
The highest temperature in Karachi is expected to be 33 degrees Celsius in the upcoming days. On the other hand, the temperature in other areas of Sindh would not likely rise as quickly.
The warm temperature would continue until 21st of February. Due to Anticyclonic Circulation reaching the coast, the cooling effect would be postponed.
