Tenants burn landlady for demanding rent in Islamabad
The women sustained serious burn injuries and wounds.
In a disturbing incident that occured in the Mehrabadi area, a young woman was set on fie over a minor dispute.
The area falls under the jurisdiction of Golra Police Station. The incident took place in residential area of Sector G-12 which was just recently brought under this specific police station.
The women sustained serious burn injuries and wounds. She was immediately shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for treatment purposes. The doctors have declared her in out of danger zone.
Islamabad Police has taken an action and registered an FIR on the complaint of the victim. The FIR under the sections of 336-B/324/34 PPC has been registered. In addition to this, the police has also arrested three suspects including a woman who was involved in the heinous crime. 2 other women were also reportedly involved in the crime and are currently, being traced.
According to details of the case, the assailant’s family had been living in the victim’s house as tenants but had not been paying any rent. When the victim went to demand and collect rent, she was abused and humiliated by the tenants.
On the victim’s second visit, she asked for the rent once again. But the tenants family sprinkled petrol on the victim and set her on fire. The attackers then fled the scene when the victim was engulfed in flames.
People in the surroundings and volunteers rushed to help the victim. They extinguished the flames. Three suspects that were involved in the attempted murder case have been taken into custody.
