These three more cities to host PSL next year: Ramiz Raja announces
Owing to huge public demand, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja has announced to expand the Pakistan Super League (PSL) to other big cities of the country.
While addressing the closing ceremony of the PSL 7, chairman PCB announced to host PSL matches in Multan, Peshawar, and Quetta from the next edition. “We will expand the PSL to Quetta, Peshawar, Multan, and other parts of the country and the world will see the real buzz,” he said.
He added that Peshawar and Multan will host next year’s PSL matches also. The upgradation work on the Arbab Niaz Stadium is going on in full swing.
According to reports, the province’s only international cricket stadium will be inaugurated in July, this year.
Furthermore, Ramiz Raja was thankful for the successful completion of the tournament. “Everyone contributed whole-heartedly to making this event a successful one,” he said.
Raja went on to add that the people of Lahore had a big role in making the PSL a success. The chairman PCB thinks that a new ‘new stadium should be built in Lahore which can seat 50,000 people.’
Regarding the Australia tour of Pakistan, he termed the series ‘welcoming’. “It will be a good series for the cricket fans,” he added.
