Thief falls asleep in an air-conditioned room during robbery, video goes viral on social media

In an interesting event, a thief fell asleep in an air-conditioned room during a robbery attempt.

According to details, a 21-year-old man fell asleep under the bed during a robbery attempt in Andhra Pradesh’s East Godavari district in India. He was later caught red-handed by the police.

The robber, Suri Babu tried to enter the house of Satti Venkat Reddy, who is a petrol pump owner, with an intention of theft. Suri had all of Reddy’s details on a piece of paper, including his daily routine, where he keeps his money, and at what time he goes to sleep.

Babu entered the victim’s house at 4am and stepped inside Reddy’s room, who was in a deep slumber. The petrol pump owner had placed his money on the side table that night.

The robber, on the other hand, was unable to fight his tired body and the comfort of the air conditioner and fell asleep under the bed.

Reddy woke up after hearing Babu’s snoring and instantly called the police. When the police arrived at the scene, Babu locked himself inside the room. However, after persuasion, he opened the door and confessed to the crime.

A constable from the Gokavaram police station added that the robber said he was tired and the room temperature was comforting, so he couldn’t fight the urge to sleep.

The police later found out that Babu was the owner of a small sweet shop but didn’t make enough money. In crushing debt, he thought a theft would help him overcome his financial issues. Although he failed, he has been arrested for his robbery attempt.
