Thousand years old temples reinstated in a goodwill gesture towards minorities in Pakistan

It’s not wrong to say that minorities living across the third-world countries have long been facing discrimination and lack of safety. The environment they face is constantly not-supportive of a peaceful life. Lack of proper action against the harassers and lawlessness may be the reasons behind the current state of minorities besides a kind of prevailing unacceptance against them.

In such a dismal circumstances Prime Minister Imran Khan laid the foundation stone for the development works at Kartarpur Corridor in November last year and the majority of the work at the corridor has been completed as compared to the Indian side of the border ahead of birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak.

The move not only a step towards the minority protection but will also facilitate the Sikh Yatrees coming from across the border. Another remarkable step of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Government is the restructuring of years old temple in Sialkot. Various other religious places of the Sikh community have been opened after necessary mending.

The selection of two minority temples for reinstatement was a commendable step to address the plight of minorities living in the country. Imran Khan, in today’s address at the Presidential Palace, also pledged his support for the protection of minorities living in Pakistan and made a solemn promise to solve their problems.

Protection of minorities is the part of vision Pakistan as the white color in the flag is symbolic for minorities living across the land of the pure and a lot more is needed to shut the dark clouds shading the minorities within the country.
