Tim Paine sexting scandal: Read the messages between Australian cricketer and his female colleague
The text messages Tim Paine sent to the female colleague have now surfaced.
Tim Paine has stepped down as the captain of the Australian cricket team after the Cricket Australia’s investigation found him involved in sending a co-worker an explicit image of himself along with a string of lewd messages.
The 36-year-old was appointed as the captain of the Aussie cricket team following the Sandpapergate scandal. In a statement, he informed Cricket Australia that he will be resigning from his role, effective immediately. Cricket Australia chairman Richard Freudenstein said that Paine’s resignations has been accepted. He added that the board “will now work through a process with the National Selection Panel of identifying and appointing a new captain.”
It has also been revealed that the woman involved in the Tim Paine sexting scandal had charges of theft laid against her in mid-2018.
“The allegations raised against Tim Paine by a former Cricket Tasmania employee were only brought to the attention of Cricket Tasmania when formal charges of theft were laid against that employee in mid 2018,” Cricket Tasmania said in a statement.
The text messages Tim Paine sent to the female colleague have now surfaced. They have been shared by multiple international media outlets. According to the details, the messages were sent shortly after his appointment as the captain of the national cricket team.
“Will you want to taste my d**?? F**k me, I’m seriously hard,” reads one of the messages.
Here’s screenshot of the conversation circulating in the media:
The messages were sent on November 22 and 23, 2017. According to Herald Sun, the two knew each other from state cricket. The woman involved complained to Cricket Australia and Cricket Tasmania in 2018. Furthermore, she also sent a letter to the Australian Human Rights Commission.
Reports further claim that Tim Paine’s wife was aware of the lewd text messages but she choose to stood by him. Bonnie Paine knew of the whole thing when her husband was investigated by Cricket Australia in 2018.
