Today’s hero: SSP Mardan returns back on duty after defeating COVID-19 himself
Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear black uniform!
The fight against COVID-19 in Pakistan is being led by doctors and paramedics. However, we must not forget the heroic role of police officials and LEAs as well. These heroes are standing on the streets all day, exposing themselves to the virus threats to ensure that we are abiding by the rules being imposed for our own safety.
Our today’s hero, who deserves all the praise and recognition, is Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Mardan Waqar Azeem. Not only did he contract the virus while being on his duty, but he also defeated it and is back in action after completely recovering from it.
Speaking to a reputed media source, the SSP said that early testing, self-isolation and healthy eating aided his speedy recovery.
“I quarantined myself at home for 14 days after my tests came positive. I exercised regularly, took fresh juices and kept myself busy which helped me recover. The most important thing is not to lose faith,” SSP Azeem said.
After returning back on duty, he visited the Manga union council and motivated police officials to perform their duty dedicatedly. He said that with early testing and proper care, the virus can be beaten.
