Today’s Heroes: SP Suhai Talpur, Assistant Sub Inspector Ashraf Dawood and Constable Amir Khan

Ever since this woman has entered the police force, she has been making headlines! Yes, today we celebrate Pakistan’s superwoman, SP Suhai Talpur.

The operation that foiled the terrorist attack Chinese consulate in Karachi today was led by SP Suhai Aziz Talpur, who joined the police force after clearing CSS in 2013. The unfortunate attack claimed the lives of two officials from Sindh police, while all three terrorists were killed.

Suhai Talpur belongs to a middle-class family and hails from Bhai Khan Talpur village in Tando Muhammad Khan district. Telling her journey to the uniform she is wearing today, which of course wasn’t easy, Sohai said all of her family opposed her education.

“When my parents decided to enrol me at a school, most of our relatives started taunting my family. So much so, that my family had to leave our village and move to a nearby town” – she shared while talking to a local media source.

She is the daughter of a political activist and writer, Aziz Talpur. Aziz shared that his relative cut off from him because they wanted her only to obtain religious education, while he wanted her to achieve big things in life. She started her primary education in a private school in Tando Muhammad Khan and joined Bahria Foundation for intermediate. Her family wanted her to pursue Accounting but she found it very boring, attempted for CSS and cleared it in the first attempt. She gives the credits of all her achievements to her parents.

With her, were two brave men on the front line. While Suhai graced the country with her bravery and resilience, Assistant Sub Inspector Ashraf Dawood and Constable Amir graced the flag with their blood.

This is how the internet community lauded these brave heroes:
