Tokyo Olympics: Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem Qualifies For The Final of Javelin Throw Competition
The Pakistani athlete, Arshad Nadeem, has qualified for the Tokyo Olympics 2020 Men’s javelin throw final. He has become the first Pakistani athlete to have qualified for the final of the Olympic athletics competition.
The group matches of the javelin throw were held this morning and the Pakistani athlete was part of the group B. To qualify for the final, an athlete was required a throw of 83.5 to qualify for the final.
Arshad Nadeem could only touch the 78.5 mark in his first attempt but with a throw of 85.16 in his second attempt, he made it to the final.

He secured the first position with the throw of 85.16 in group B and overall the third best throw among the athletes from the two groups. This was also Arshad Nadeem’s third best throw of his career.

The final of the javelin throw competition will be held on the 7th of August. Arshad Nadeem will surely be hoping to win a medal for Pakistan and Pakistani fans are equally interested to see him win.
As soon as he secured a place in the final, Arshad was trending on top on Twitter. Fans are celebrities congratulated him and wished him the best of luck in the final.
