Recently, The Toyota Indus Motor Company (IMC) officially launched the Toyota Corolla Cross in Pakistan. Three variants of the vehicle are coming to the auto market, i.e., the Premium, Smart, and Low (Base).
Here is a detailed comparison of the three variants of the Toyota Corolla Cross:
Engine and Transmission:
All three variants have been launched with a 1798cc 3ZR-FEX (Hybrid) engine. The car’s engine power is 71hp, while, electric motor’s power is 72hp. Meanwhile, the engine torque is 142Nm, and the electric motor torque is 163Nm. Hence, the combined horsepower of the car is 168hp, and the combined torque is 305Nm. Moreover, all three variants have the CVT transmission.
The Premium and Smart variants of the vehicle feature LED projector headlights, while the Base variant has halogen projector ones. All three variants have the follow-me-home feature in headlights, meaning the lights will remain on for few seconds after the engine is switched off.
All three variants of the Toyota Corolla Cross have LED DRLs and front fog lamps. The front wipers of the top two variants have auto rain sensors, while the base variant has standard wipers. All variants come with a smart entry option.
The company has installed 17-inch alloy wheels in all three car variants, along with ventilated disc brakes (front) and disc brake (rear).
All three Toyota Corolla Cross variants come with electronic power steering (EPS) and steering controls. However, the top two variants have an extra button of cruise control. Meanwhile, the top two variants have an 8-inch touchscreen, while the Base variant has a standard audio system. Moreover, the top two variants have dual-zone auto AC, while the base one features a single auto zone with rear AC vents.
In the Premium and Smart variants, the driver seat is 6-way powered, while the passenger seat is manually adjustable. Meanwhile, in the base variant, both driver and passenger seats are manually adjustable.
Only the Premium variant comes with a moonroof and leather seats. The Smart and Base variant have fabric seats.
The vehicle’s top two variants come with 7 airbags, while the Base variant has only 2. Meanwhile, all three come with ABS + EBD + brake assist, vehicle stability control, back parking sensors, and hill start assist. The Premium and Smart variants also have front parking sensors.
