Trailer of Late Sushant Singh Rajput’s Film ‘Dil Bechara’ Trends Number 1 in Pakistan, Breaks All Records

The film will release digitally on the 24th of July 2020, on Disney+ and Hotstar.

Late Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film’s trailer, ‘Dil Bechara’, is trending at ‘Number 1’ on YouTube in Pakistan.

The trailer broke records of becoming the most-liked trailer ever on YouTube within the duration of 24 hours. It has more than 40 million views and over 8 million likes. The trailer has broken records of Avengers: Endgame which is ‘Hollywood’s blockbuster’ film. Moreover, it also has millions of views on other sites such as Instagram and Facebook.

Dil Bechara is directed by a well-known casting director Mukesh Chhabra. He makes his ‘directorial debut’ through this movie. The film is a Bollywood/Hindi remake of a very famous Hollywood romantic drama, ‘The Fault in Our Stars’ which was released back in 2014. The drama was a representation of John Green’s famous novel with the same name.


Sushant, who played the role of Manny, and Sanjana Sanghi, who played the role of Kizie Basu, are the leading characters of the movie. Saif Ali Khan later on also makes an interesting entry in the story.

Kizie and Manny, who are in love, are both cancer patients. They explore life and how to live it to the fullest, together. Their journey has many ups and downs.

Sushant Singh’s sudden departure

After Sushant’s suicide on June 14 2020, the trailer and the story hit everyone differently and left the viewers in tears.
Rajput’s dialogue regarding life and how he says that ‘we don’t get to decide when we are born or die but only how we live our life’, from the trailer, has touched everyone deeply.

The film’s director Mukesh Chhabra wrote a note about the movie and how it was ‘Sushant’s dream.’ He urges everyone to watch the film and said that, ‘Sushant who was a brother to him, will live on in him till his last breath’.

As to pay tribute to the late actor, the film will be free and also accessible to the non-subscribers who can watch it as many times as they want, the director expresses his joy over it. He says that he’s glad that ‘the film is free for everyone, without any subscription’ and that ‘everyone in India can watch it’.
