Tri-Series: Pakistan Set Unwanted Record Against New Zealand
New Zealand defeated Pakistan by 9 runs in the second T20I match of the ongoing tri-series.
The Pakistani batters failed to put up a show against the Kiwi bowlers. The Green Shirts could only score 130 runs in 20 overs.
Iftikhar Ahmed and Asif Ali scored 27 and 25 runs respectively. Skipper Babar Azam was the other batter who crossed the 20 runs mark.

The Black Caps chased down the target with ease in the 17th over of their innings. The opening pair of Finn Allen and Devon Conway’s partnership of 117 runs gave no chance to Pakistan.
Both scored 62 and 49 respectively while Kevin Williamson also scored 9 runs.

The Pakistani batters struggled to get runs and wasted a big chunk of deliveries. Not even one player was able to hit a six during the entire 20 overs of Pakistan’s innings.
It was the first time in 8 years that The Men in Green failed to hit a six in a completed T20I innings. Last time it happened was against Australia in 2014 in Dubai.
Babar XI will play its next game in the tournament against Bangladesh on Thursday. They have lost one out of the three games played in the tournament so far.
