Trump Regrets Not Trying His Luck With ‘Supermodel Beautiful’ Princess Diana
"I only have one regret in the women department, that I never had the opportunity to court Lady Diana Spencer"-Trump
Recently, The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, and his wife, Meghan Markle, urged US citizens to “reject hate speech” and vote in the country’s forthcoming presidential election.
The US President, Donald Trump, fired back at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, saying, “I am not a fan of hers.” Trump then directed his remarks toward Harry and his decision to marry the former Suits actress.
“I would say this — and she has presumably heard that — I wish a lot of luck to Harry because he is going to need it,” The President said.
Donald Trump’s Harsh Remarks
Following his harsh attack on the couple over their election remarks, Trump’s comments on the late Princess Diana are now circulating on the internet.
Only months before the Princess of Wales died in August of 1997, Trump had claimed that he wished to try his luck on Diana and get romantically involved with her.
In 1997, during a radio interview on The Howard Stern Show, Donald Trump, a business magnate back then, stated that he could have made a move on the princess.
While responding to Stern’s question about Lady Diana, Trump said, “I could have persuaded her,” said Trump, adding that he would have first taken her for a doctor’s checkup before getting intimate with her.
Besides, he piled praises on the princess’ beauty, saying, “She was beautiful. I thought she was supermodel beautiful. She had times when she did not look great, but there were times when she looked better than anyone in the world.”
“I think she was magnificent. Lady Diana was truly a woman with exceptional beauty. I have seen her a couple of times,” he said.
“She was magnificent, and people do not realize how beautiful she was. She was crazy, but, you know, these are minor details.”
In his 1997 book, The Art of Comeback, Trump also wrote, how he wanted to be linked to Diana, “I only have one regret in the women department, that I never had the opportunity to court Lady Diana Spencer.”
Later in 2016, Trump said he had met Diana only once, and she was “lovely.”
Diana’s friend, Selina Scott, told a source on how Trump had given Diana “the creeps” after “bombarding” her with bouquets.
