The company took to social media and announced the news:
Tucson, which fits somewhere between the Toyota Fortuner and the Honda Vezel, will be a direct competitor to its Korean twin, Kia Sportage. We use the word ‘twin’ because, under the metal shell, the Tucson and Sportage are the same cars.
They both have 2.0 liter, four cylinders, and 16 valves motors that feature variable valve timing technology. They are equally capable of putting out 155 horsepower and 190 newton/meters of torque.
In PAPS 2020, a Hyundai official revealed:
The Tucson will come in 4 variants, 2 of which will feature Front-Wheel-Drive (FWD) with a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The other variants will sport Hyundai’s HTRAC All-Wheel Drive (AWD) drivetrain with the same transmission options.
Following are the features and the tech that the SUV may flaunt:
The expected cost of the Hyundai Tucson will be between Rs. 4.8 million and Rs. 5.5 million. The final quote will depend on the option chosen.
