Turkish celebrities have made a strong foothold in Pakistan following the roaring success of their drama series Diriliş: Ertuğrul. Pakistanis can’t get enough of these stars, which explains why several local brands have partnered with these actors for their marketing campaigns.
Here is a list of Turkish actors from Ertuğrul who have signed deals with Pakistani brands:
1. Esra Bilgic
Soon after Ertuğrul became a sensation in Pakistan, the first one to become our national crush was Esra Bilgic, who played Halime Sultan in the series. So much so that Pakistanis even started moral policing her on her Instagram posts (well, low indeed, but that is a mark of recognition here). Soon after, we saw Esra in a QMobile advertisement campaign, and later Jazz Super 4G signed a campaign with her. We have seen her in several YouTube videos where she eats Pakistani food and pronounces Pakistani slang to find her number 1 pick.
2. Engin Altan
We heard stories that Engin Altan is being considered as the ambassador for PSL’s team Peshawar Zalmi. The owner of Peshawar Zalmi, Javed Afridi, took to Facebook to ask fans whether they would like to see Engin Altan aka Ertuğrul as the franchise’s brand ambassador. As expected, fans loved the idea. We’re not sure if anything has been materialized, but Engin has expressed that he would love to collaborate with Pakistan. The actor also visited Pakistan from 9th to 11th October as part of the Jashn-e-Ertuğrul event.
3. Burcu Kiratli
Ertugrul star Burcu Kiratli known for her role Gokce Hatun in the series is now the face of the first-ever Pakistani bridal shoot organized by The Kara Makeup. Burcu is wearing ace designer Ali Xeeshan’s bridal wear in the shoot.
4. Cengiz Coşkun & Nurettin Sönmez
Junaid Jamshed’s official brand, J., has officially signed two beloved Turkish stars, Cengiz Coşkun and Nurettin Sönmez, as J. Fragrance brand ambassadors. The two play Turgut Alp and Bamsi Beyrek respectively in the series.
5. Didem Balçın
Didem Balçın is a Turkish actress known for her role as Selcan Hatun in the Ertuğrul series. Recently, Maria B. announced that Didem would be the face of the Maria.B. Linen Campaign this time.
6. Cavit Çetin Güner
Cavit Çetin Güner, who essays the character of Dogan Alp in Ertuğrul, visited Islamabad earlier this month. One of his young fans also made a sketch and gifted it to him. Sources believe that he signed a deal with a Pakistani brand during his visit.
