The Pakistan and India match at the ICC Women’s World Cup had the social media talking all day long. It all started with Pakistan’s captain Bismah Maroof making a powerful statement when she was pictured with her infant daughter before the start of the game.

The picture was shared thousands of times across the internet generating a flux of heartwarming reactions. Later, the Indian cricket team took a picture with the mother and daughter duo.

A video, shared on the official social media handle of ICC, where the Indian players were spotted playing with Bismah’s daughter also went viral.

This wasn’t the only highlight of the day. Two former Indian and Pakistani women cricketers, Sana Mir and Anjum Chopra, also livened up the action with some banter in the commentary box.

It started with the former Indian captain asking Sana Mir whether she was feeling as much pressure as the girls out there in the middle. The former Pakistani captain replied that the pressure would have been much higher if she was also playing.

The two former cricketing superstars then got into a friendly banter. Anjum Chopra stated that Sana Mir has never gotten her out, to which she replied that the statistician needed to confirm this.

“Another piece of stat that we should discuss another day is that Pakistan have crossed 100 just three times in ODIs against India,” Anjum then replied.

“You said you’d bring it up another day but then you said it, well done Anjum,” Sana Mir concluded the exchange.

Social media users were totally in love with the India-Pakistan commentary duo. Here’s what they said:
