Sarfaraz Ahmed and Mohammad Rizwan

Twitteratis are divided over the debate regarding the comparison of the captaincy style of Mohammad Rizwan and Sarfaraz Ahmed. Some believe that comparing everything what Rizwan does to what Sarfaraz did should be stopped.

The debate started following Quetta Gladiators defeat against Peshawar Zalmi last night. Many cricket fans raised questions over Sarfaraz Ahmed giving the 19th over to James Faulkner.

A video comparing how Mohammad Rizwan treats his players when they concede runs and how Sarfaraz Ahmed treats his players went viral over the internet.

The video shows the Multan Sultans’ skipper going up to his player, hugging and motivating him after he gets hit for a maximum. On the other hand, the video also shows the Gladiators’ skipper lashing out at Usman Shinwari for bowling poorly.

Reacting to the video, a Twitter user wrote: “We can celebrate & cherish one’s success without demeaning other.”

Another netizen wrote: “It is very simple to love Rizwan without hating Sarfaraz.”

A twitterati said that Sarfaraz is still called Kaptaan by the national cricket team players. He added that Mohammad Rizwan can be praised without dragging Sarfaraz.  Some netizens also brought up the Quetta Gladiators skipper winning the first ICC trophy after years.

On the other hand, some of the cricket fans thinks that Sarfaraz Ahmed isn’t fit to lead a team.
