In yet another gut-wrenching incident, two young women have been the victims of gang rape at a factory in Lahore.
According to details, the two women were gang-raped by three men at a chair-manufacturing factory in the Gujjarpura area of Lahore.
The criminals abducted the young women from the Shahdara area of the city before bringing them to the factory to commit the awful criminal act.
After committing the gruesome act, the criminals quickly escaped.
In the aftermath of the attack, the Lahore police took the owner of the factory into custody.
However, the police have been unable to arrest the main criminals behind this crime, whose whereabouts, till now, remain unknown.
The Chief Minister of Punjab, Sardar Usman Buzdar, has taken notice of the awful crimes committed within the limits of the Gujjarpura police station and demanded a report from the city’s CCPO.
He has given orders for the instant detention of the criminals intricated in the rape case.
“Justice should be provided to the women who are the target of rape in any case,” Buzdar said.
The provincial chief minister added that providing justice to the victims is the “government’s obligation.”
It is pertinent to note that the city of Lahore has witnessed a surge in rape and harassment cases in recent months, calling many to question the mindset of the city’s men and the performance of the Punjab Police.
