Uber Shuts Down Its Services in 5 Major Cities of Pakistan

Uber has announced to shut down its services in major cities of Pakistan including Islamabad, Karachi, Multan, Faisalabad, and Peshawar.

The announcement to shut down its operations in these cities was made today.

If you are living in anyone of these cities, you will not be able to book your ride starting today. When you try to use Uber, the popular ride-hailing app will inform you about the discontinuation of its services in your city.

People living in these five major cities of Pakistan can book their ride using Careem, which was acquired by Uber two years back.

“Unfortunately, Uber is currently unavailable in your area” is the message you will get while trying to book a ride.

Despite shutting down its services in the aforementioned cities, the ride-sharing app is still available in Lahore.

“For the past five years, we are grateful to have been part of your everyday life to help you move around those five cities using the Uber app,” said the company.
