United Alpha Vs. Suzuki Alto: Comparison of Salient Features, Price and more
The power train and size show that there is no comparison between the engine of the two cars.
United Motors recently launched its hatchback, the Alpha, in Pakistan. With the launch of many new vehicles (the United Bravo, the Prince Pearl, and now the United Alpha), the hatchback segment’s competition has intensified.
One key player, the Pak Suzuki Alto, has dominated the segment for years. A dominant and a new entrant – you know this calls for a car comparison.
The United Alpha vs. The Suzuki Alto. Here is a comparison of the salient features of both cars:
Note: The comparison is between the VXR manual variant of the Alto and the Alpha because they both lie in a similar price range.
Via: Pak Wheels
Engine and Transmission:
The United Alpha features a 993cc engine, which generates 68hp and 93Nm Torque. In comparison, the Suzuki Alto showcases a much smaller engine with 658cc, producing 39hp and 56Nm Torque.
The power train and size show that there is no comparison between the engine of the two cars. However, in the gearbox case, both vehicles have 5-Speed Manual Transmission, making them equal in this feature.
United does not have any airbags installed in the Alpha, while the Suzuki Alto comes with Dual Airbags
Therefore, the Alto is much safer as compared to the Alpha. United Motors must work on installing this essential safety feature in its hatchback.
United Motors offers Alloy Wheels in the Alpha. However, the Suzuki Alto comes without them.
Hence, the Alpha has an edge here because the alloy rims are more beneficial, reliable, and sturdy than steel ones.
Suzuki does not offer Fog Lamps in the Alto. On the other hand, the United Alpha comes with them.
This makes the Alpha easier to drive in foggy season, enhancing the comfort and convenience of the vehicle.
Power Steering and Power Windows:
Both the Alpha and the Alto come with Power Steering, making them easy to drive
and in heavy traffic.
However, the Alpha takes the lead as all of its windows are powered, while the windows in the Alto are manually controlled.
United Motors features the small and beneficial feature of Rear Wipers in its hatchback, while Suzuki has not installed the wiper in the Alto.
Local manufacturers usually do not offer this feature. However, with changing times, companies are installing rear wipers in their cars to improve the driving experience.
Taking the lead yet again, the United Alpha has the feature of a Rear Camera. Meanwhile, Pak Suzuki has not installed it in the Alto.
This makes the Alpha easier to drive, park, and reverse, while the Alto calls for a lot of attention, especially in tight spots.
The Suzuki Alto comes with a conventional audio system, while the United Alpha features a rather chic 10-inch multimedia screen.
Through the Alpha’s screen, you can control Radio, Audio as well as Bluetooth Connectivity.
The current price of the Suzuki Alto VXR is Rs. 1,433,000, while United has launched the Alpha with the price of Rs. 1,395,000.
This makes the United’s hatchback Rs. 38,000 cheaper than its competitor.
Here is a tabular version of the comparison:
