If things go as per plan, Pakistan cricket team’s fans will see a number of high-octane cricket matches played in the Pakistani stadiums. After being denied the opportunity to watch the national cricket team play at home for years, cricket has finally returned home.

Pakistan will be hosting a number of top teams at home in the next four years. Besides the multiple cricket series Pakistan will be hosting, it will also host the Asia Cup and the ICC Champions Trophy.

Australia Tour of Pakistan 2022

The Men in Green will be hosting the Aussies for three Tests, three ODIs and one T20I in March/April 2022. Australia will visit Pakistan for the first time in 24 years.

  • First test – 03-03-2022 at National Stadium, Karachi
  • Second test – 12-03-2022 at Pindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi
  • Third test – 21-03-2022 at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore
  • First ODI –  29-03-2022 at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore
  • Second ODI – 31-03-2022 at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore
  • Third ODI – 02-04-2022 at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore
  • Only T20 – 05-04-2022 at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore

West Indies tour of Pakistan 2022

The West Indies Cricket Team will be visiting Pakistan for three ODIs in June 2022. These ODIs were set to be played in December 2021 but Covid-19 outbreak in the Caribbeans’ camp forced the series to postpone.

England Tour of Pakistan 2022

To make up for their postponed tour of Pakistan in 2021, the England cricket team will be visiting Pakistan for T20Is in September 2022. They will then return for three test matches in December 2022.

New Zealand Tour of Pakistan 2022-23

Just like England, New Zealand will also tour Pakistan twice to make up for pulling out of their scheduled series in 2021. During their first tour, the Kiwis will play two tests and three ODIs in December/January 2022-23. Their second tour will comprise of five ODIs and as many T20Is in April 2023.

Asia Cup 2023

Pakistan will be hosting the 50 over Asia Cup in 2023. The decision to base the 2023 edition on 50-over format is due to the ODI World Cup in the same year. It will allow the Asian team to prepare better for the tournament.

ICC Champions Trophy 2025

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will mark the return of major cricketing event to Pakistan after more than two decades. It will be the first time since 1996 World Cup when Pakistan will host an ICC event on its soil.
