VIDEO: Iffat Omar under fire once AGAIN for making fun of PM Khan and punishment for rapists
She has stirred controversy - once again!
Iffat Omar, Pakistani model and the host of the popular web show ‘’Say It All with Iffat Omar’’, is under fire once again for her controversial jokes about PM Khan’s proposed punishment for rapists.
Previously, while talking to her guests Ali Rehman Khan and Hareem Farooq, she confessed about having a massive crush on Rahat Kazmi. She acknowledged hugging the actor ‘intentionally’ when they were cast together in a series where he acted as her father.
Iffat Omar's character is full of shits. She is lady who does flirt with male co-actors & admitted that she deliberately took retakes during shooting to hug Rahat Kazmi. How can a devil in the form of wh*re is making fun of our PM & Insafians? At Least we aren't flirty like her. pic.twitter.com/kCTvydniaU

However, in a more recent video, Iffat Omar was seen joking about the newly proposed punishment for rapists as she said that the government authorities would find it convenient switching from dogs to rapists’ castration. Her statement attracted a lot of criticism, as the internet community called her out for her cheap comedy.
You can disagree on the type of punishment for a rapist and suggest what kind of punishment you want for such hardcore criminals. But how can you be so insensitive and stupid to start joking about such a serious issue/crime? Disgusting @IffatOmar pic.twitter.com/avIK8MkbiD

One social media user commented,‘’ Iffat Omar is touching a new low with the scripted show. She is talented and can find more and better work. So many of us like to admire and grew up watching her. Bus kerdain khassi-punna. It’s way below her’’.
‘’You can disagree on the type of punishment for a rapist and suggest what kind of punishment you want for such hardcore criminals. But how can you be so insensitive and stupid to start joking about such a serious issue/crime? Disgusting’’, said another tweet.
Celebrities have been coming up with disappointing statements for quite a while, but Iffat Omar hit new lows with her humor. Where influential showbiz personalities should be using the platform they have to spread positivity and awareness, they also need to be aware of the sensitivity of the issue and learn to draw a line between comedy and being offensive behavior.
