Indian crowd chant Pakistan murdabadIt looks like the Indian cricket fans are still not over the humiliating defeat their team faced at the hands of the Pakistan cricket team. In a video going viral on social media, Indian crowd can be heard chanting anti-Pakistan slogans in the stadium during the first test match between India and New Zealand.

Pakistan and India is arguably the biggest rivalry in cricket and fans indulging in social media debates and war of words isn’t something new or surprising. However, the anti-Pakistan chants in the ground surely goes against the values of the game. Indian fans can be heard chanting “Pakistan Murda” in the ground.

Surprisingly, majority of the Indian cricket fans also supported this act by the crowd in the stadium. On the other hand, Pakistan cricket fans expressed their anger on Twitter and demanded the International Cricket Council to take action.

It is pertinent to mention that during the World Cup 2019, multiple political banners were flown over no-fly zone. One of the banner demanded: ‘World must speak up for Balochistan’. During the recently held T20 match between Pakistan and India at the T20 World Cup, ICC had banned political banners inside the stadium.
