Video: Is Islamabad’s famous “Baoo Gee Murgh Palao” using meat of dead chickens?

Recently, a video went viral on social media, where a person was unloading dead chickens for delivery to a restaurant.

On Tuesday, Assistant Commissioner Islamabad led the raid at an outlet of a famous restaurant in Islamabad. During the raid, a huge quantity of dead chicken was recovered.

According to media sources, Assistant Commissioner Koral Muhammad Asad, along with food authorities led a raid at Baoo Gee Murgh Palao restaurant, located near Khanna Bridge in Islamabad.

Delivery of Dead Chicken

Recently, a video went viral on social media, where a person was off-loading dead chicken for delivery to a restaurant. On being asked which restaurant he will be delivering these to, he replied, “Baoo Gee Murgh Palao at Khanna Pulao” in Islamabad.

One of the government officials said that strict action is being taken. AC Islamabad, along with concerned authorities, visited the site. Moreover, meat has been sent for examination.

”However, the whereabouts of the delivery person are still unknown. We need to find the person who made the video. We assure you that the person selling the dead chicken will be severely punished.” DC Islamabad, Hamza Shafqaat said,

“Those involved will be sent to jail. However, the business of selling dead meat – not just chicken – is quite prevalent in the country and needs to be curbed by the concerned authorities”.

Last year in September, Minister of State for Interior Shehryar Afridi made startling revelations that donkey and even dog’s meat being sold in several parts of Islamabad.
