The host and model also hinted at the length of her role being reduced to second fiddle in the movie Main Hoon Shahid Afridi.

Recently, TV host and model Mathira opened up about her conflict with senior director Sangeeta. While speaking to a media outlet, the actress stated:

In this industry, people promise something else but deliver the opposite. I don’t appreciate exploitation. If a woman is bold, that doesn’t mean you strip her clothes off.

Mathira has been quite vocal about her opinions of the entertainment industry lately. Previously, Mathira appeared on The Mazedaar Show hosted by Faizan Sheikh and Aadi Amjad. During the candid conversations, the host and model stated:

Unfortunately, I have worked with all the ‘bad people’ at the beginning of my career.

It is pertinent to mention that Mathira worked with director Sangeeta in the movie Sirf Tum Hi To Ho. The film was released in July 2019; however, it tanked at the box office. To elaborate on her ‘working with bad people’ answer, Mathira cited the example of the veteran director and actress Sangeeta.

The host and model also hinted at the length of her role being reduced to second fiddle in the movie Main Hoon Shahid Afridi. The actress said:

The biopic of Shahid Afridi starring Humayun Saeed brought me negative fame, which affected my on-screen image. In this industry, people promise something else and deliver something else, which really disturbs me.

Towards the end of the discussion, Mathira confessed that she prefers working in television over films. Now that the model and actress is hosting a show on a private channel, she is happy with what she’s doing.
