Video: Meet the first person of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa who recovered from COVID-19
"I had a very high fever and a sore throat. On the advice of the family, I went to the Police Services Hospital in Peshawar so I could get the Coronavirus tested, " Adil.
Adil, from Khyber District, is the first person from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to recover from the Corona virus-infected disease, Covid-19.
Speaking to Independent Urdu, Adil said, “the symptoms of the Coronavirus started appearing on March 12th, but I ignored them for three to four days and remained at home. I had no idea that it would be the Coronavirus.”
Adil further added that, “On March 16th, I had a very high fever and a sore throat. On the advice of my family, I went to the Police Services Hospital in Peshawar so I could get the Coronavirus tested.”
According to Adil, “the test samples were sent to the laboratory, and when the report came on March 19th, his test came out positive, and he was kept in the same hospital in Quarantine.”
How was time in Quarantine?
Adil said, “I spent ten days in Quarantine, which was very hard because there was no proper food arrangement. For the first two or three days, my family came with food, but later our house was also declared as a Quarantine zone.”
However, according to Adil, his relatives and friends used to come with food, but the hospital guard was afraid to give the food in the ward.
Adil further said that the behavior of doctors and staff of the hospital was excellent. Patients were given medicines and injections on time, but other facilities were inadequate.
In response to a question regarding precautionary measures, Adil said that doctors told him to avoid meeting anyone and wear a mask all the time.
Emphasizing on precaution is better than cure Adil said, “I am cured of the virus, but with a little caution, we can avoid it.”
