[VIDEO] Molvi accused of threatening a Christian family to withdraw rape case of their 6-year-old daughter

The family is requesting Chief Minister of Punjab Usman Buzdar to provide them protection.

6-year-old Tabita from Gohawa Village, Bhatta Chowk Lahore was raped and now her family is being pressurized to stay silent. According to the details available in the FIR, Tabita was playing in her street when a man named Waqas lured her and took her to his home.

When Tabita did not return to her home on time, her father started searching was her. The people in the neighborhood informed him that they saw Waqas taking her to his home. Upon reaching his home, the victim’s father found her daughter crying outside Waqas’ house.

She told her father that the culprit undressed her and sexually assaulted her. When she started to shout and aggressively resist him, he left her outside in the street. Tabita’s family registered a complaint in the police but now a local Molvi (religious cleric) is threatening them to back off and withdraw the case.

The family is vulnerable and is facing threats now. The fear has forced them to move out of their village and they are currently living in a rented house.

In a video appeal, they have requested CM Punjab Usman Buzdar to assure justice and security for them.

  • I encourage a law suit asking a Judge to order seizure and sale of this terrorist’s, this child rapist’s house, business(es) and assets if he is found guilty and the assets of all who tried to intimidate the victim/witness. I think it will show a strong message to would be rapists and those who would pressure victims- witnesses to have armed police protect for the victim and her family until the trial is over. Such police protection would also show government and judicial support for law and order and that girls are human beings with rights to be protected.
