Prior to the season finale of the infamous drama serial ‘Meray Paas Tum Ho’, its hype is continuously increasing. It now seems that politicians are also fully immersed in the drama, this was proven by Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) Bahali Committee leader Dr. Farooq Sattar.
“I was asked what I had with me now that I was neither an MNA nor a party head, to which with my hand on my chest I replied, ‘Mera Yeh Bharam Hai, Mere Paas Tum Ho’,” he said while addressing a public gathering in Karachi, in a video clip.
The video instantly went viral on social media. The ex-MQM leader can be seen quoting the lyrics of the drama serial’s OST in the clip as he addresses the crowd.

Dr. Farooq Sattar was removed by the Rabita Committee in February 2018. He dissolved the committee and called for a fresh intra-party election to elect a new leader on the same day.
In March 2018, he was removed as the convener of the party by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
Later on, Islamabad High Court (IHC) suspended the decision of the ECP and Sattar was given his position as the convener back, but in June 2018, he was removed as the same. On 9th November 2018, his basic membership of MQM-P was revoked for violating party discipline.
In the 2018 general elections, Sattar lost in both constituencies he contested from. Which were NA-245 Karachi East 4 and NA-247 Karachi South 2.
