Senior PPP leader Qamar Zaman Kaira came to know about his son’s tragic demise during a press conference. The shocking footage shows the expression of shock and disbelief on Kaira’s face when he was informed about his young son’s accident.
After getting to know about the accident involving his teenage son, Qamar Zaman Kaira immediately called off the press conference and left for Lala Musa. The news of the death was confirmed by PPP leader Chaudhry Manzoor.
His son Osama Qamar Kaira, merely in his teenage, was a student of Government College (GC) Lahore. The video clip shows how senior People’s Party leader was engaged in a questions and answers session when he was informed about the accident. Later clips show the expression of disbelief on his face and other party members offering him support.
After the news, senior politicians and stakeholders have offered their condolences. Regardless of party affiliations, everyone offered him best wishes and patience to face this tragic incident.

After the news, condolences started pouring in. PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari issued a party statement, expressing his sorrow. The statement read that ”he was shocked to hear the sad news adding that PPP leadership and workers share the deeply-felt grief of the Kaira family and friends”. Bilawal prayed for the departed soul and wished the grieving family all the support in this difficult time.
Asif Ali Zardari also said that the tragedy is beyond the words and the “loss of a young child is unbearable”. Zardari prayed for the deceased and assured that the “Bhutto family and the PPP stands by the Kaira family in this hour of grief”.
Prime Minister Imran Khan also offered his condolences to the family and prayed for strength in this difficult time, as Radio Pakistan reports.
Pakistan Muslim League (PMLN)’s vice president Maryam Nawaz expressed her grief, saying it is heartbreaking to see how unpredictable life is.

Chief of Army Staff Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa also offered his condolences in a statement and “expressed his heartfelt grief on the sad demise of Osama Kaira”. “May Allah gives strength to bereaved parents and family to bear this irreparable loss,”- he added in a statement released by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
