VIDEO: When Indian cricketers and media made tall claims before the Champions Trophy final
An old video of former Indian cricketers and media personalities before the champions trophy final has been circulating on social media.
Pakistan will be looking to register their first-ever win against India in a world cup, when the two arch-rivals meet on October 24th in Dubai. The two teams have met five times before this in the T20 world cups and the Men in Green haven’t been able to win a single match.
No doubt, India has been the better team when it comes to ICC tournaments but as cricket is so unpredictable you never know if Pakistan can actually manage to turn things around. Just like the ICC champions trophy final in 2017, Indian media and former cricketers have already declared India the winner.

An old video of former Indian cricketers and media personalities before the champions trophy final has been circulating on social media. In the video, Indian cricketers such as Virender Sehwag, Sourav Ganguly, and Harbhajan Singh declares India’s favorite and also mock the Pakistan cricket team.

In the five matches the two teams have played against each other in the T20 world cup, Pakistan came close twice to beating India and changing history. Both these games were played during the 2007 T20 world cup, the group stage game, and the final. Interestingly, Misbah ul Haq was the player to get out on the last deliveries during these two matches.
An interesting statistic to look at before the big clash is that the Pakistani skipper, Babar Azam, has never lost a T20I in UAE. He has played 11 and won all of them.
