Pakistan left arm pacer Wahab Riaz has responded to the reports of being deported from the United Kingdom.

Earlier, it was reported that the Pakistani cricketer has been deported from UK.

Responding to the reports, Wahab Riaz said that he didn’t even travel to England. “How can I be deported from the UK if I did not go there? I’ve been in Lahore with my family,” he said.

He added that he is preparing himself to participate in The Hundred. “The Hundred training is underway, and my body is adjusting well. I am full of self-assurance and am backing myself heavily to do well in the event,” Wahab added.

Wahab Riaz will be representing the Northern Superchargers in The Hundred. He was picked by the franchise for 75,000 pounds.

Another Pakistani pacer – Naseem Shah – will also be part of the tournament. He was signed by Welsh Fire. Pakistani skipper Babar Azam was among the most expensive cricketers but he wasn’t picked by any franchise as he will be busy with the national cricket team.
