Wastage Of Taxpayers Money: Senate Committe Directs CDA To Open A Beauty Salon For Female MPs In Parliament Lodges
Female parliamentarians will soon be getting a beauty salon in the parliament lodges, as per the direction of the Senate House Committee.
The committee, under the chair of Senate Deputy Chairman Saleem Mandviwalla, directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to make arrangements for the opening of the beauty salon as soon as possible.
The matter was brought to the committee’s attention by Senator Kulsoom Parveen, who complained about the CDA’s non-compliance with the orders of the committee’s convener.
According to Senator Kulsoom Parveen, the CDA was directed to consult her and Samina Saeed regarding the allocation of a place for the salon in Parliament Lodges. The Senator added the CDA hasn’t made any progress on the matter.
The CDA was later on directed to solve the issue as soon as possible.
Furthermore, the capital development authority was also directed to contact senators pertaining to the problems about their accommodation and solve it. The Senate deputy chairman reminded CDA officials they were earlier asked to make a financial report about repair and maintenance work of the Lodges but had failed to do so.
