The people are switching to electric cars to preserve the environment and hoping to save money on fuel across the world. In a significant development, world’s leading private electric cars’ venture Morris Garages has set up its plant in Pakistan.
JW Auto Park and Morris Garages signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and intend to launch the biggest private venture of electric car manufacturing in the country.
Initially, MG was a British company, but later it was taken over by a Chinese firm. It is expected that the Chinese President would be inaugurating the plant during his visit to Pakistan later this year, but there is not much information on this matter available right now.
However, the CEO of Haier Pakistan, Javed Afridi, recently shared a couple of videos on his Facebook page, which confirm that MG Electric Car is road-tested in Pakistan. The SUV is soon to be available in the local market.
