VIDEO: Watch Shaheen Afridi’s Spell That Shook The World Of Cricket

Uncapped left-arm quick has earned himself a place in Pakistan’s national squad.

Shaheen Shah Afridi has proved himself to be the backbone of the Team Green’s bowling attack for nearly two years.

“Riaz Bhai was a Test cricketer, so watching him, I developed this liking for fast bowling,” said young bowler.

He made his debut in the third Twenty20 International (T20I) against the West Indies in April 2018.

Admittedly, Shaheen has featured predominantly as a fast bowler.

With a great career with the ball, Shaheen has over 30 wickets in 8 Test matches at an average of 27.96. He has 40 scalps in 19 One-day Internationals (ODIs) at a strike-rate of 23.1, while his Twenty20 International (T20I) wickets are 16 so far.

Back in September 2017, the pacer made his first-class debut by taking 8 wickets for just 39 runs in the second innings of the match at Khan Research Laboratories in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.

This victory turned out to be the game-changer for the young emerging talent!

  • It is not the bowler but the batsmen one should look at. This was the quality of our first-class before restructuring to 6 teams.
