‘Welcome to the old Pakistan’: Maya Ali slams government for hours long load shedding
Actor Maya Ali has slammed the government for the ongoing load shedding across the country. The entire country is facing hours long power outages and just like everyone else, the renowned actress is also unhappy over it.
She took to her Instagram account to criticise the recently sworn in federal government. The Mann Mayal actor shared a video of a candle flickering in the darkness and wrote: “When there is not enough electricity to the charge the UPS.”
In another Instagram story, Maya Ali added that during the entire day, there is only 10 hours of electricity to work. Last night, it was the Laylatul Qadr and the stunning actress was disappointed with the load shedding on “such an auspicious night.”
“Welcome to the old Pakistan where there is no light, load shedding is at its peak. Life has become miserable ONCE AGAIN. Out of 24 hours we are getting only 10 hours of electricity to work. And especially tonight, on such an auspicious night when everyone will be praying there is so much load shedding.”
In the last few days, several Pakistani celebrities have criticised the new government. Armeena Khan, Shaan Shahid, Ahmed Ali Butt, Samina Peerzada and others have expressed their disappointment quite a few times.
Ahmed Ali Butt had also slammed PM Shehbaz Sharif over the power outages in the country. In an Instagram story, he took a jibe at the PM and wrote: “Thank you for the load shedding.”
