PM Imran Khan, during his address to the business community yesterday, said that he is aware of the rising inflation as he is ‘unable to fulfill his monthly expenses’.
Speaking to the meeting, he said that he supports his household expenditures on his own salary.
The statement has everyone wondering: what is PM Imran Khan’s salary?
Although we are unaware of the current figures, we do have information available from a few months ago. According to a payslip that was released by the Prime Minister’s office back in March, PM Khan earns less than his own ministers.
The slip showed that PM Khan’s basic salary is Rs107,280. He is further paid a Rs50,000 sumptuary allowance, an ad-hoc relief allowance of Rs21,456, and further ad-hoc allowances of Rs12,110 and Rs10,728.
The information suggests that the prime minister’s gross salary is Rs201,574, which is further reduced to Rs196,979 after tax and other deductions of Rs4,959.
Compared to him, his ministers earn up a Rs 250,000 monthly salary. Punjab CM’s salary is Rs350,000. However, after this information was released, the salaries were increased by 10% in the budget.
