WhatsApp will soon roll out THESE 5 features
Here in this article, we will be looking at the five interesting features WhatsApp will soon roll out.
With the introduction of 3G and 4G internet technology, people are preferring WhatsApp as the medium for communication more than ever. WhatsApp is also coming up with new features from time to time to make its usage more interesting.
There are a number of new features coming to the Facebook owned messaging service in the next few weeks. Here in this article, we will be looking at the five interesting features WhatsApp will soon roll out.
New privacy settings
WhatsApp only allows you to turn off your Last seen status, Profile Picture, and About section for all of your contacts. According to WabetaInfo, this is soon going to change. In the future, you will be able to choose specific contacts you want to hide or show your Last seen status, Profile Picture, and About section to. Along with the Everyone, My Contacts and Nobody privacy option, you will have My Contacts Except option as well.
Voice recording feature
WhatsApp is mulling over introducing “global voice message player” for its users. This will enable you to listen to voice messages even after you leave the chats.
The voice message will appear at the top of the main app, when you play the voice message and leave that chat. Just like a voice recorder, WhatsApp will soon allow its users to pause and then continue while sending a voice note.
As reported earlier, WhatsApp has been working on introducing message reactions feature, similar to Twitter, Instagram and Messenger. Now, the tech giant is also looking to introduce a notification whenever someone reacts to your message. If you don’t want to receive reaction notifications, you will have the option to turn them off.
Soon you will be able to manage the back up size of your chat with this upcoming feature of WhatsApp. The users will be able to exclude specific content such as documents and photos from their cloud backup.
Done and Undo buttons when editing media
The Facebook-owned chat platform is testing Undo and Done buttons for editing pictures and videos. WhatsApp will give you the option to Undo, if you are not satisfied with the changes you have made to a video or a picture. The Done option will obviously be to confirm that you are happy with the edits you have made.
