The American Journalist and News Anchor at CNN, Bianna Golodryga, has spread shockwaves around the Muslim world for accusing Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi of antisemitism for standing up against the atrocities carried out by Israel in Gaza.
“Israel is losing out. They’re losing the media war, despite their connections,” said Qureshi during his appearance on the CNN show.
The journalist followed the comment asking for an explanation on what their connections were. “Deep pockets,” he replied, adding later, “they’re very influential people. They control media.”
Golodryga went on to accuse the Foreign Minister of making an antisemitic remark.
However, the accusation has received a divided response. Pro-Israeli social media users praised the journalist’s actions, and pro-Palestinian replies questioned the media bias against the Palestinian fight. They also accused the journalist of finding antisemitism in a comment that was actually anti-Zionist.
