Himalayan salt is exclusively extracted from Pakistani, but not many people know about it.
After knowing that Himalayan salt comes from Pakistan, Joe said if he was a Pakistani, he would ‘be pissed to know that they are stealing our shine’.
Himalayan salt is rock salt mined from Pakistan’s Punjab. The salt has a pinkish tint due to mineral impurities. It is primarily used as a food additive in the form of table salt but is also used in food presentation.
The Joe Rogan’s Experience:
Recently, an American comedian and host Joe Rogan, in his free audio and video podcast “The Joe Rogan Experience”, was discussing that from where the name of Himalayan salt came up.
Speaking about the properties and benefits of pink Himalayan sea salt, he wondered where the salt actually came from. However, it was shocking for Joe to know that it does not come from Himalayan mountains or from any sea, but from Pakistan.
After knowing that it comes from Pakistan, Joe Rogan said “if I was a Pakistani, I will be pissed to know that they are stealing our shine”.
When a sea spreading over the region of Khewra Pakistan dried up millions of years ago, it was covered by geological shifts, leaving massive salt scattered throughout the hills. Some people claim that Himalayan salt has healing properties.
