Prime Minister Imran Khan’s ambitious and innovative Pakistans Citizens Portal is the country’s first-ever grievances redressal portal. It gave ordinary people a chance to register their complaints directly to the authorities. Due to the thought process behind the initiative, it has gained immense popularity in the short span of its introduction.
The portal provides everyone an opportunity to register their complaints, while the Prime Minister’s office assures that these complaints are addressed and resolved. A report regarding the complaints registered on the portal is sent to PM Khan on a regular basis. The report discusses the number of complaints and the feedback provided to them in detail.
So far, the number of complaints registered on Pakistan Citizens Portal has reached 1.173 million. 12,33,000 complaints have been received, and as the authorities say, 1057334 resolved, making the redressal rate of 86 percent.
Among these, 92 percent of complaints were redressed at the federal level. 88 percent were addressed in Punjab. Likewise, 87 percent were addressed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), 79 percent in Balochistan and only 40% in Sindh.

A woman from provincial capital Lahore thanked Prime Minister Imran Khan for his initiative as her abducted daughter is recovered after she registered a complaint on the citizens portal. A senior police officer was also removed from his post in relation to the mentioned case.
A woman from Akora Khattak told a local news source that a swindler was arrested after they registered their complaint at Pakistan Citizen Portal. He had taken money from their complainant family but later backtracked and did not provide a piece of land as promised.
