The Ministry of Human Rights has been planning recently to expand police stations for women in rural parts of Pakistan to make sure that women have easy access to justice. New women police stations will be established by the end of the next year 2020 in all the rural and far-flung areas of the country.

According to officials, statistical data reveals that more than half of the women never report cases of violence because no proper system is available.

As mentioned by official sources, a number of male officers would be trained to cater to the complaints of females in various issues like property disputes as well as domestic violence.

The real idea behind expanding police stations for women in rural areas is to provide a safe environment for women in a society that is dominated by males.

Apart from that, it has been further stated that women police officials would help prevent cases of domestic violence by providing the required information. These police stations are said to be fully operational by the end of next year, and their records would be computerized.
