Young Boy Sexually Assaulted And Filmed By Punjab Police INSIDE Torture Cell

Although all of us have a responsibility to give back to the community and make it a pleasant place for everyone to breathe in, affiliation or being a part of security forces increases this responsibility on one’s shoulders. Amidst crisis, the public gets to have a peaceful night’s sleep because of their faith in the forces that they are standing out there, performing their duty of protecting the citizens.
But, the scenario is opposite in Punjab Police’s case. Not only are they, themselves the biggest threat to the citizens but also the ones that turn to them for help face nothing but exploitation.

One of the horrible incidents of this nature were reported in Sher Kot, near Lahore. As per Express News, a young boy fell victim to sexual assault by police personnel inside a private torture cell. An FIR was registered under section 377 (unnatural offences) of Pakistan Penal Code after medical tests confirmed the incident on March 15.

As per the report, assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Muhammad Imran not only assaulted the boy but also filmed him. He later threatened the boy that he’ll shoot him in a fake encounter.

The incident took place at Ghousia colony a week ago, when the victim was brought to the police station on a false pretext. He then was assaulted by personnel named Shafqat, while Imran filmed it. The boy was later locked up in the Police Station on fake charges of stealing motorcycles and was threatened that he’ll have to face dire consequences if he told anyone. After the boy was released, he told his father about the ordeal and it was reported to SHO Sher Kot who refused to take any action.

As reported by Express, Imran was first transferred and was then kept in SHO’s retiring room with the protocol. The police also helped Shafqat to flee away. There have been complaints about past activities happening in the torture cell run by ASI.
