DEVASTATING: Young boy hangs himself while playing multiplayer game PUBG
China, Nepal, Iraq, etc. have already banned it due to its ‘violent nature’.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, better known as PUBG is one of the most popular games nowadays. It is a multiplayer battle royale game, which is popular among almost every age group.
However, the game has its downsides. Due to the players taking the game a little too seriously, it is sometimes linked with horrifying incidents, where players go as far as taking their own lives. There are many cases of deaths reported due to individuals being obsessively involved in the game.
A similar case was reported recently in Uttar Pradesh, India where a 21-year-old committed suicide while playing the game.
Shivam, who was an IT graduate, hung himself at his grandmother’s house while playing the game. He had recently moved to Kanpur to look for a job.
The young boy spent hours and hours playing the game, as told by the family, who immediately called the police after they saw Shivam’s body hanging from the ceiling fan in his room. The post-mortem reported confirmed his death to be a case of suicide.
This is not the first time such an incident has come forward. This is why countries like Pakistan and India are running petitions to ban the game because of its ‘negative impact’ on the vulnerable minds of the young generation. However, China, Nepal, Iraq, etc. have already banned it due to its ‘violent nature’.
